My Sample Writing Test

A Moment in time
I am walking around the park. But then suddenly I hear this “Boom Boom”, I started to feel curious, So I followed it and it is  my grandpa. I wondered why is he at the beach?. I joined him at the beach. He said “He found seaweed”, and told me all about it.The seaweed is shaped like a string you could just break. Then my grandpa said “ Wait here and don’t look I have  something for you”.I closed my eyes in excitement, not taking one look.He says “Open your eyes now”.

I opened my eyes and I see a shaped ball with three eyes like a bowling ball.I am amazed. It is  a coconut!.He said “It is nice when you taste it with the sea”. I said “ What if the sea had bacteria?”. He had a full jug of seawater  and told me “ You are already eating it right now” he said. I said “ Wow you are right it does taste nice”.The coconut tasted like tropical juicy lemonade. I felt like I was a mermaid under the sea drinking coconut water.

I am staring at the red pink sunset going down. I start to feel this feeling where the only person that can understand me is my grandpa. Then we go home and our Moment of time is over.

Tiger Son

TIGER SON
What is the story about?
The story is about when a elderly widow has only one son and he is a tiger hunter like his father and his grandfather. But one day there was a snowstorm and her son was separated from the group of hunters and ended up being food to a hungry tigress . After her son died he was her only support . So instead the hunters  had to share profits . The hunters didn’t take the agreement well because they had to feed some of their own old and young. So after they killed the tigress that killed her son , they selfishly didn’t share the profits and gave in a tigress cub . She decided to keep the cub instead of killing it . She treated it like it was her own son . But when the hunters heard she was keeping a cub they got their spears ready and their knife but the old lady defended the cub . The hunters knew that they couldn’t kill the cub without the magistrate’s permission . The magistrate agreed with the elderly widow and warned all hunters not kill the tiger and put a copper pendant around his neck that says Fu Chee , it means tiger son . The elderly widow let the tiger have a cave nearby her house . Fu Chee visited her most of the time and gave her gifts like a dead deer , or a large branch to put in the fire to keep her warm. When Chen Ma died the hunters notice that the tiger guarded the grave nightly so they left the tiger in peace but one day the tiger disappeared .

What’s the Problem?
The problem in the story is when the hunters didn’t want to share profits so they gave a baby tiger but she was too old to kill the tiger so she kept it as her pet but when the hunter’s heard that she was keeping a cub they got their spears and knives ready  .

How can I resolve this ?
The magistrate said that one day the tiger will come against the old lady and kill her but the old lady didn’t agree to this because she treated the tiger differently than any other animal . So the magistrate gave an adoption letter to adopt the tiger .

Having Lunch

Having Lunch

by: Tino

Outside sitting on the soft grass , eating lunch with my friends in the bursting heat of the sun. I see a fountain with a huge ball on top and see little kids are touching it. I feel the gentle breeze of the wind blowing towards  me as I look at Rangitoto island. I look beside and I see Ben jumping on the trampoline happily with much gusto. I laugh at Ben and talk to my friends . As I look at Ben I can see the sandy beach, so inviting that I feel like splashing in the wild waves. I imagine I’m on that beach swimming with joy in the cold freezing water.

As I eat my lunch I have the urge to go play with my friends on the fresh grass.  I see other kids sitting under the tree on the bench looking at the view and talking about the Mary Mackillop Centre. It is a nice feeling to be in this place.

One of the Josephite Sisters are giving out free juice and I ask for a juice and drink it . What a refreshing drink, I feel I need that. I have a second helping of the juice, totally that is good. Meanwhile another Josephite Sister and come up to me, she is collecting rubbish . I said thank you for collecting my rubbish and I went off to play. I have time to play with my friends tag and run around  on the green fresh grass at the backyard . I see a tree and a small shack and a good place to hide behind. I did just that to wait for my friends to approach me. I get my bag and get my partner on the bus and go back to school .
