MARIE CURIE

Marie Curie was the first woman to get a doctor degree in France, Paris and to go to university . She also discovered that  radium was a radioactive material and she also discovered polonium with her husband,Pierre Curie. She believed x-rays came from  uranium atom. She discovered a new element.

Marie Curie  worked as a scientist and a slave after her dad lost his job and his company. After Pierre Curie run over by a horse and a wagon and died, she still continued her research of radium.No matter what she still continued .She would put 60 tons of water in a huge pot and put 60 rocks of urinium atoms below. Her new discovery was 800 times stronger than uranium! It took 3 years for her to dissolve the rocks. Marie studied science at sorbonne university in Paris,France 1904.Everyone in Marie’s village liked Marie but one day her whole village was forced to speak and learn russian language. All these years Marie was always a better student than all the kids in her class.Marie was 2 years younger than all of the kids in her class. 2 years later her mother died and she thought she couldn’t go to university. Marie Curie also published book.

Her book was radioactive substances .When world war 1 ended she still stayed in France and her hometown gained independence.She died at the age of 66 from a disease from radium. Marie Curie was one of the greatest scientists of science.
